The building also has two retail bays for neighborhood-based companies, a gym and bike locker, a patio and lounge, and two large community rooms. The Residences is next door to the Strand Theater, a historic landmark that the NHP Foundation intends to renovate in 2020.

This new six-story building— four wood-framed stories on top of a two-story concrete podium—will be
built into a gently sloping hillside on the south side of Mississippi Avenue and will provide 10 on-site parking spaces. The units will be a mix of studios, one bedroom, and three bedroom apartments.
