The Roundtree Residences is a thoughtfully designed senior housing development in Southeast Washington, DC, providing 91 high-quality homes for residents aged 55 and older. This modern community blends comfort and accessibility, offering spacious apartments and a variety of amenities to support an active and engaged lifestyle. The six-story building is conveniently located near I-295 and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, with easy access to the Naylor Road and Anacostia Metro stations, as well as a bus stop at the entrance. The development features open-plan apartment layouts with floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped kitchens, and warm wooden cabinetry. Community spaces include a welcoming two-story lobby with a fireplace, a bright internet café, a state-of-the-art fitnes s center, a game room, and a beautifully landscaped courtyard. Additional conveniences such as laundry facilities, in-unit washers and dryers, and terraces or balconies enhance residents’ quality of life. The Roundtree Residences is 80% affordable at 60% AMI and 20% at 50% AMI, ensuring affordability for low-income seniors. Residents also benefit from Operation Pathways’ on-site programs and services, which provide opportunities for wellness, education, and community engagement. The $16.27 million project was funded through tax- exempt bonds, LIHTC investments, and financing from the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and Bank of America.
