NHPF 2024 Symposium Journal

The NHP Foundation 2024 Symposium

Adapting Affordable Housing to the New Realities examines strategies to address the most urgent “new realities” as identified by NHPF voices: new financial partnering strategies, innovations in sustainability; and urban challenges at the intersection of race, crime, and affordable housing. The solutions to the challenges represented by these “new realities” require unwavering commitment and collective effort from every industry stakeholder. Elected officials, developers, funders, builders, architects, service providers, the greater community, and residents all play a crucial role in shaping a future where everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home. Tonight we have gathered experts from different disciplines and geographies to work in combination with our research findings to present a comprehensive view of where the affordable housing industry must go next to match the overwhelming need.
