FRED C . MITCHELL SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT , ASSET MANAGEMENT

Fred C. Mitchell, Senior Vice President joined NHPF in 2010 as a Senior Vice President. In his current role, Mr. Mitchell is involved in capital transactions for the Foundation including refinancing existing properties and dispositions. Mr. Mitchell also serves on NHPF’s Executive Committee and, up until April 2021, Mr. Mitchell directed the asset and property management of NHPF's portfolio. Mr. Mitchell has over 37 years of experience in property and asset management including 20 years managing Section 42 properties. Prior to joining NHPF, Mr. Mitchell was the Director of Asset Management for Centerline/Related Capital, where he oversaw an equity portfolio of 1,300 affordable multi-family properties, as well as a Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac loan portfolio of 2,500 properties. During his career, Mr. Mitchell has been involved with multi-family assets in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Mr. Mitchell is past president of both the Chicagoland and Illinois Apartment Associations. He holds both the Certified Property Manager and Housing Credit Certified Professional designations and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois. Mr. Mitchell holds a B.S. from Post College in Connecticut and completed graduate courses at The University of New Haven and the University of Houston.

THE NHP FOUNDATION April 2021 – Senior Vice President for Asset Management  Responsibilities include involvement in capital transactions for the Foundation including refinancing existing properties and dispositions. Mr. Mitchell also serves on NHPF’s Executive Committee 2010 – April 2021 Senior Vice President for Asset Management Provide asset management functions for a portfolio of over 5,800 units in 27 multifamily properties located in 12 states and the District of Columbia. This portfolio of properties has an aggregate gross asset value of over $200 million.  Responsibilities also including oversight of three third-party management companies. MFX Realty Advisors, Inc., Chicago, IL 2008 – 2010 Managing Director  Founded consulting firm to provide third-party asset management, consulting, and compliance services to institutional investors, developers, and managers of affordable multi-family housing. Centerline Capital Group, New York, NY Formerly known as Related Capital and CharterMac Capital 1999 – 2008 Director, Affordable Asset Management • Directed asset management for tax credit equity and bond financed portfolios that consisted of 1,300 properties located in 48 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. • Supervised 40 employees including four Regional Senior Vice Presidents • Negotiated workout terms on a revolving portfolio of five to 10 LIHTC properties • Directed inspection group for Fannie/Freddie loan portfolio (1,500 properties) • Member of task force that closed sale of $3 Billion bond portfolio • Negotiated largest single workout (18 properties) in company history • Supervised tax-exempt bond portfolio management group • Supervised group which managed partner compliance with equity documents and releases of partner equity payments in LIHTC equity portfolio • Directed the preparation of the quarterly investor watchlist Asset Management Group 2003 – 2007
